Government Role in the Internet Business

Abstract

First, it introduces e-commerce briefly. The main problems facing trade online are electronization, virtual subjects, globlization, automatization and network environment. Government’s role in e-commerce environment should not be changed, but current laws should be adapted to meet new demandes of business on network.Fundamental experiences of international provisions on e-commerce are important. Then it analyses the function of government in e-commerce: promulgate rules, promoteg and support industry autonomy,establish proper regulatory system, enhance international cooperation in this field.
