Decision No EX-03-9 of the President of the Office of 9 December 2003 adopting Guidelines for the examination of Community designs

The purpose of this Decision was to adopt the Guidelines for the examination of Community designs, which explain how, in practice, the requirements of the Regulation on the Community Design, the Implementing Regulation and the Fees Regulation will be applied by the Office upon receipt of an application for a registered Community design up to the point of its registration and publication. The Guidelines do not consitute legal content in addition to the Regulations, but assist the examiners in consistently applying the Regulations to examination proceedings (although not covering all possible situations).
