Council Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 of 22 October 2007 establishing a common organisation of agricultural markets and on specific provisions for certain agricultural products (Single CMO Regulation)
This Regulation ('Single CMO Regulation') creates a single Common Market Organisation (CMO) to combine legislation in the farming sector, improve its transparency and application, and lay down provisions for certain products. This is part of implementing the Lisbon Strategy and has been the most significant technical simplification of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy to date and allows the repeal of almost 78 Council acts as well as replaces more than 920 legal articles in the current regulations with around 230 new ones.
