The Patent Law of the People's Republic of China- Legislation adopted by Standing Committee of NPC and promulgated by President on 12 March 1984; revised respectively on 4 September 1992, 25 August 2000 and 27 December 2008 to take effect on 1 October 2009; core legislation in the patent legal system, providing for three different types of patents: inventions, utility models and designs.
