Study visit to the EU with the Legislative Affairs Commission on e-commerce

The European Commission and the Legislative Affairs Commission of the National People’s Congress (LAC) will partner in a set of peer to peer exchanges with the technical support of IP Key, to engage into discussions on the current workings of reform of the e-commerce law of China.

A delegation of the LAC drafting team, who is now revising the text published for public comments on December 28, 2016, will travel to Belgium and France between May 10 and 17, 2017.

Meetings and exchanges are envisaged with the European Commission in Brussels, as well as government and industry representatives in France.

Topics of discussion will mainly focus on the legal and regulatory frameworks of electronic commerce and electronic payments  at EU and national level, looking in particular at solutions to curb counterfeits and IPR violations online.
